مقدمة البحث | Introduction

Travel is one of the oldest activities of human beings. People have travelled for trade, education, work, health and visiting relatives. Today, travel has become easier and faster because of modern transport. In this research, we will talk about the meaning of travel, its types, its benefits and the good manners every traveller should follow.‎

الترجمة: السفر من أقدم نشاطات الإنسان. فقد سافر الناس للتجارة والتعليم والعمل والعلاج وزيارة الأقارب. واليوم أصبح السفر أسهل وأسرع بفضل وسائل النقل الحديثة. وفي هذا البحث سنتحدث عن معنى السفر وأنواعه وفوائده والآداب التي ينبغي أن يلتزم بها كل مسافر.

تعريف الموضوع | Definition

Travel means going from one place to another, either near or far, by land, sea or air. A person may travel inside his own country, which is called domestic travel, or to another country, which is called international travel.‎

الترجمة: السفر هو الانتقال من مكان إلى آخر قريب أو بعيد، براً أو بحراً أو جواً. وقد يسافر الإنسان داخل بلده وهذا يسمى السفر الداخلي، أو إلى بلد آخر وهذا يسمى السفر الدولي.

أهمية الموضوع | Importance

Travel is important because it teaches us about other places and people. It develops independence and confidence, and it gives us new ideas. Also, it is a main part of tourism, which supports the economy of many countries, including our beloved Kingdom.‎

الترجمة: السفر مهم لأنه يعلمنا عن الأماكن والشعوب الأخرى. وهو ينمّي الاعتماد على النفس والثقة بها ويمنحنا أفكارًا جديدة. كما أنه جزء رئيس من السياحة التي تدعم اقتصاد دول كثيرة ومنها مملكتنا الحبيبة.

أولًا: أسباب السفر | Reasons for Travelling

People travel for many reasons. Some people travel for business or work. Students travel to study in universities abroad. Others travel for medical treatment, for visiting family, or just for fun and sightseeing. Muslims also travel to perform Hajj and Umrah in Makkah.‎

الترجمة: يسافر الناس لأسباب كثيرة. فبعضهم يسافر للأعمال أو الوظيفة. ويسافر الطلاب للدراسة في الجامعات خارج بلادهم. وآخرون يسافرون للعلاج أو لزيارة الأهل أو للترفيه والتنزه فقط. كما يسافر المسلمون لأداء الحج والعمرة في مكة المكرمة.

The Holy Quran also encourages people to travel and think about the creation of Allah. He says:‎

الترجمة: وقد شجّع القرآن الكريم الناس على السير في الأرض والتأمل في خلق الله، قال الله تعالى:

﴿قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ بَدَأَ الْخَلْقَ ۚ ثُمَّ اللَّهُ يُنْشِئُ النَّشْأَةَ الْآخِرَةَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ﴾ [العنكبوت: 20]

ثانيًا: وسائل النقل | Means of Transport

There are many means of transport. We can travel by car, bus or train on land, by ship or boat on the sea, and by plane in the air. The plane is the fastest way for long distances, while the train is comfortable and safe for medium distances. In the Kingdom, there are modern roads, airports and railways that connect the cities.‎

الترجمة: توجد وسائل نقل كثيرة. نستطيع السفر بالسيارة أو الحافلة أو القطار على اليابسة، وبالسفينة أو القارب في البحر، وبالطائرة في الجو. والطائرة أسرع وسيلة للمسافات الطويلة، بينما القطار مريح وآمن للمسافات المتوسطة. وفي المملكة طرق ومطارات وسكك حديدية حديثة تربط بين المدن.

ثالثًا: التحضير للرحلة | Preparing for a Trip

Before travelling, a good traveller prepares well. He checks his passport and tickets, books a hotel, and chooses the clothes that suit the weather. He packs only what he needs in his suitcase and keeps important papers in a safe bag. It is also wise to learn some useful words of the local language and to know the rules of the place he is visiting.‎

الترجمة: قبل السفر يستعد المسافر الجيد جيدًا. فهو يفحص جواز سفره وتذاكره، ويحجز الفندق، ويختار الملابس المناسبة للطقس. ويحمل في حقيبته ما يحتاج إليه فقط، ويحتفظ بالأوراق المهمة في حقيبة آمنة. ومن الحكمة أيضًا تعلّم بعض كلمات اللغة المحلية ومعرفة أنظمة المكان الذي يزوره.

رابعًا: آداب السفر | Manners of Travelling

A Muslim traveller should be polite, honest and helpful. He should respect the laws of the country, keep the places clean and be kind to people. Islam teaches that travel is tiring, so a person should finish his business quickly and return to his family. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:‎

الترجمة: على المسافر المسلم أن يكون مهذبًا وصادقًا ومعينًا للآخرين. وعليه احترام أنظمة البلد والمحافظة على نظافة الأماكن والإحسان إلى الناس. ويعلّمنا الإسلام أن السفر مُتعب، فينبغي للمرء أن ينهي حاجته بسرعة ويعود إلى أهله. وقد قال النبي ﷺ:

«السَّفَرُ قِطْعَةٌ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ، يَمْنَعُ أَحَدَكُمْ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ وَنَوْمَهُ، فَإِذَا قَضَى نَهْمَتَهُ فَلْيُعَجِّلْ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ» (رواه البخاري)

Also, a traveller should remember Allah, make dua, and take care of his prayers during the trip.‎

الترجمة: وينبغي للمسافر أن يذكر الله ويدعوه ويحافظ على صلواته أثناء رحلته.

خامسًا: فوائد السفر | Benefits of Travel

Travel has many benefits. It helps us to know new cultures, to improve our language skills and to make new friends. It also teaches patience and responsibility, because the traveller must solve small problems by himself. Finally, it makes us appreciate our homeland and its blessings when we return.‎

الترجمة: للسفر فوائد كثيرة. فهو يساعدنا على معرفة ثقافات جديدة وتحسين مهاراتنا اللغوية وتكوين صداقات جديدة. ويعلمنا الصبر وتحمل المسؤولية، لأن المسافر يحل المشكلات الصغيرة بنفسه. وأخيرًا يجعلنا نقدّر وطننا ونعمه عندما نعود إليه.
