The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the last messenger of Allah and the best example for all people. Muslims all over the world love him and follow his teachings. In this essay, I will write about his birth, his character, his message, his migration and his mercy.

His Birth in Makkah – مولده في مكة
The Prophet, peace be upon him, was born in the city of Makkah in Arabia. His father, Abdullah, died before he was born, and his mother, Aminah, died when he was a young child. Then his grandfather Abdul Muttalib and later his uncle Abu Talib took care of him. He grew up as an orphan, but he was loved by the people of Makkah because of his good behaviour.
الترجمة: وُلد النبي ﷺ في مدينة مكة في جزيرة العرب. توفي أبوه عبد الله قبل ولادته، وتوفيت أمه آمنة وهو طفل صغير. ثم رعاه جده عبد المطلب ثم عمه أبو طالب. نشأ يتيمًا لكن أهل مكة أحبوه لحسن سلوكه.
His Character – أخلاقه
Before he became a prophet, the people of Makkah called him Al-Amin, which means the trustworthy. He was honest, kind, patient and generous. He never lied, and he always kept his promises. He treated the poor, the children and the neighbours with respect. His good character was the first reason why many people believed in him.
الترجمة: قبل أن يصبح نبيًا كان أهل مكة يسمونه الأمين، أي الذي يؤتمن. كان صادقًا ولطيفًا وصبورًا وكريمًا. لم يكذب قط وكان يفي بوعوده دائمًا. وكان يعامل الفقراء والأطفال والجيران باحترام. وكان حسن خلقه أول سبب جعل كثيرًا من الناس يؤمنون به.
His Message – رسالته
When he was forty years old, Allah sent the angel Jibreel to him with the first words of the Quran. The Prophet, peace be upon him, invited people to worship Allah alone, to be honest, to help the weak and to treat others fairly. At first, only a few people believed in him, but many people of Makkah refused his message and treated the Muslims badly.
الترجمة: وعندما بلغ الأربعين أرسل الله إليه الملك جبريل بأول آيات القرآن. دعا النبي ﷺ الناس إلى عبادة الله وحده، وإلى الصدق ومساعدة الضعفاء ومعاملة الآخرين بالعدل. وفي البداية آمن به عدد قليل فقط، لكن كثيرًا من أهل مكة رفضوا رسالته وأساؤوا إلى المسلمين.
The Hijrah – الهجرة
Because of the harm of the leaders of Quraysh, the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his companion Abu Bakr migrated from Makkah to Madinah. This journey is called the Hijrah, and it is so important that the Islamic calendar starts from it. In Madinah, the people welcomed him warmly. He built a mosque, made brotherhood between the Muslims and built a strong and peaceful community.
الترجمة: بسبب أذى زعماء قريش هاجر النبي ﷺ وصاحبه أبو بكر من مكة إلى المدينة. وتسمى هذه الرحلة الهجرة، وهي مهمة جدًا حتى إن التقويم الهجري يبدأ منها. وفي المدينة استقبله الناس بحفاوة. فبنى مسجدًا وآخى بين المسلمين وبنى مجتمعًا قويًا مسالمًا.
His Mercy – رحمته
The Prophet, peace be upon him, was kind to everyone: to children, to women, to animals and even to his enemies. When he returned to Makkah as a leader, he forgave the people who had harmed him. He taught us that a strong person is the one who controls his anger. His mercy is a lesson for us to be kind to our family, friends and neighbours.
الترجمة: كان النبي ﷺ رحيمًا بالجميع: بالأطفال والنساء والحيوانات وحتى بأعدائه. وعندما عاد إلى مكة قائدًا عفا عن الذين آذوه. وعلّمنا أن القوي هو الذي يملك نفسه عند الغضب. ورحمته درس لنا لنكون لطفاء مع أسرتنا وأصدقائنا وجيراننا.
Conclusion – الخاتمة
In conclusion, the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was a mercy to the whole world. We should love him by following his teachings, speaking the truth, helping others and sending peace and blessings upon him. I hope I can be a good Muslim like him.
